LAPC & LAV at the 14th National Rice Technology Forum (NRTF)

Leads Agri recently participated in the 14th National Rice Technology Forum held at San Ramon, Bula, Camarines Sur from April 19 to 22, 2022. It was a 4-day event that hosted an average of 700 guests and farmers from all over the Philippines, featured exhibit booths and farm tours, and held technical forums with speakers from various sectors of the Philippine agricultural industry. This year, the Department of Agriculture (DA) along with its partner offices sought to establish a program that aligned with its theme of: “Increase Production Through Hybrid Rice Technology”.

Given the theme, the DA contracted over 100 hectares of land where advanced farming techniques were used. These techniques included the use of hybrid rice seeds, drone farming for seed planting and/or input application, and others. As one of the participating companies allowed to showcase its products, Leads Agricultural Products Corporation (LAPC) represented itself through its sister company, Leads Agriventures Corporation (LAV) and its flagship product, the Jackpot Hybrid Rice Seeds.

Through the DA’s initiative, LAV partnered with a local farmer cooperator who planted the Jackpot Hybrid Rice Seeds and followed the Leads Agri-mandated protocols in managing their farm. Their field was used during the farm tour wherein LAPC and LAV sales representatives were given the time to promote and answer questions from the farmers and other guests. Besides the farm tours, the exhibit booth became a great opportunity to interact with the farmers through the promotion of Leads Agri products and the challenge from the mini-games where farmers enjoyed simple prizes and giveaways.

Through the hybrid rice seed technology and coordination with LAV, LAPC seeks to support all DA activities around the country for the continuous development of farming practices and to sustain the technological know-how of all Filipino farmers.
